On a sweltering summer day, burned-out and isolated Bill Berney’s only companion—his dog—goes missing. Grabbing his skateboard, he cruises through the city on a frantic search. Along the way, the heat and exhaustion force him to collide with ghosts from his past: old friends, enemies, and everyone tangled in the wreckage he left behind.
